The Luckiest Person On Earth.

I had no idea why i decided to start blogging. Actually, i wanted to start yesterday, but my laziness held me back. How does it feel like to be the luckiest person on earth? Even it is only for 10 seconds? Somehow, i felt really special yesterday as some sort of funny incident took place at the basketball court near my house.

It all started when this guy known only as Mr. Ham Bao stepped on to the court. Everyone was playing happily including himself. After a while, he felt tired as he went jogging before playing basketball. So, he left the court and went to rest on the bench. As he was resting, suddenly, he shouted... (Oh F*** lo! Where's my wedding ring!) in cantonese. Everyone there was laughing, thinking how is it possible to lost a ring. He explained that the ring somehow slipped off his finger while playing. I thought, this guy is never gonna see that ring of his anymore. But, the spirit of teamwork was kept alive. Everyone on the court went searching for that missing ring. Even some small kids who knew him helped too.

Unfortunately, luck wasn't on his side, not at that time. After about 10 minutes of searching, we continued playing. I felt pity looking at him. There he was, keen on searching for that ring because it was priceless to him.  45 minutes later, i felt a bit tired. Someone substituted me. I saw him, still looking for his ring. But this time, his wife was there too. I thought, what if he couldn't find it? What if the ring could never be found? I thought to myself, he's a good guy and he doesn't deserve this. I dedicated myself to look for that ring for him. I even offered to look for it the next day.

Just when i was on my bike, circling round the basketball court looking for it, i parked my bicycle behind the basketball court. I saw a small piece of land with sand and grass surrounding it. I thought, if the ring fell on the grass, it would be easily seen. But if it fell into the sand, and someone may have stepped on it, it could be otherwise. As i stopped there, i laid down my finger and dig in the sand. I saw something shiny, something silverish. I picked it up, it was a ring. I shouted: ('I found it!') in cantonese. I handed it to him and asked him if this is the ring he had lost. He said 'yes' and asked me where i found it and how i found it. I told him the procedure and everyone was giving him a round of applause. Everyone was happy for him, including me. His wife offered to treat me Sharksfin soup to express gratitude, but i said, this is what friends are for. She just smiled. On the other hand, he only offered me a bottle of 100plus. What a mean guy. Anyway, I felt really good helping him. On my way home, I thought, what if i wasn't there? Will he still be able to find that ring? During that time, was I the luckiest person on Earth? Or was it him? Who knows?
